Joel Kovarsky

Joel Kovarsky is an early map specialist at the Albert and Shirley Small Special Collections Library of the University of Virginia. He is the owner/operator of The Prime Meridian: Antique Maps & Books. He is also the compiler of the thrice yearly “Recent Publications” column for The Portolan (journal of the Washington Map Society), and periodically teaches a course on the history of cartography for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Virginia.
