SHARP-RBS Scholarship
Rare Book School and the Society for the History of Authorship, Reading & Publishing (SHARP) are partnering to promote, encourage, and create new opportunities for the ongoing education of bibliographically-inclined scholars and book historians. Conceived in 2011, the SHARP-RBS Scholarship is an annual scholarship award offered to current graduate students and recent masters and Ph.D. recipients who wish to attend an RBS course. Beneficiaries of this scholarship receive full tuition to RBS and a stipend to help defray the costs of travel and lodging. Graduate students, recent MLIS and Ph.D. recipients, and those within five years of their last awarded degree in any discipline are encouraged to apply. Preference is given to applicants from outside the U.S.
The scholarship is dependent on donations and grants, and is awarded to as many applicants as funding allows. To apply, please submit an RBS scholarship application by the 15 October deadline. See the main scholarship page for application instructions. If you are applying for a Directors' Scholarship you may be eligible for the SHARP-RBS Scholarship—both awards are processed through the same application, so there is no need to apply twice. Terms and conditions are the same as those that apply to the Directors' Scholarship.
