Tenth edition (1990-1998)

Boy Scout Handbook, 10th edition (1990-1998; 3.2 million copies printed). Author credit: Robert Birkby.

The most striking difference between earlier editions of the Handbook and the 10th edition (1990-1998) is the use of color photographs (as opposed to drawings), not only on the cover but also throughout the book. This edition is also packed with information on camping, cooking, fire building, and other recreational Scouting activities.
