 Ian Desai is a postdoctoral associate and lecturer in South Asian Studies and History at Yale University. He received his doctorate in History from the University of Oxford while studying on a Rhodes scholarship. A graduate of the University of Chicago, he is a member of the Illinois chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, the Society for the History of Authorship, Reading, and Publishing, and the American Historical Association.
