Postage Stamps by Type Designers: A Primer

  Michael Russem is a book designer and letterpress printer with offices in Cambridge and Florence,   Massachusetts. Since 1994, his Kat Ran Press has designed and printed books, catalogues, and   ephemera for The Grolier Club, Smith College, The Veatchs Arts of the Book, 21st Editions, Rare   Book School and Shambala Publications. Complete collections of Kat Ran Press publications are   held at the Library of Congress, Harvard, Smith, Boston Public Library, University of Delaware,   University of Iowa, and UCLA. He has taught letterpress printing and typography at Harvard   and Smith College, and has lectured on stamps by type designers at the Society of Printers, The   Typophiles, Guild Bookworkers, The Baxter Society, Smith College, and the Caxton Club.
