RBS will host an online information session on Wednesday, 28 October for those interested in learning more about the M. C. Lang Fellowship in Book History, Bibliography, and Humanities Teaching with Historical Sources, a two-year program designed to animate humanities teaching and equip educators with tools to enlarge their students’ historical sensibilities through bibliographically informed instruction with original historical sources.
Attendees will hear from current Lang Fellow Timothy Helwig (Professor of English at Furman University) and past Lang Fellow Priti Joshi (Distinguished Professor, English and Susan Resneck Pierce Professor of Humanities and Honors at University of Puget Sound). There will also be an opportunity to speak with members of the RBS Programs team and to ask questions about the application process, potential fellowship projects, or other relevant topics.
Please register by 5:00 p.m. on 28 October to ensure you receive the session link.
The M. C. Lang Fellowship is open to full-time tenured faculty, full-time tenure-track faculty who have passed the third-year review, or full-time library/curatorial staff members who have worked at least three years by the start of the fellowship at liberal arts colleges and small universities in the United States (i.e., institutions that have 7,000 or fewer undergraduates and do not grant any humanities doctorates).
Applications for the M. C. Lang Fellowship are due by 11:59 p.m. ET on Sunday, 6 December 2026. Further details can be found on our website.
