Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, Vine, Snapchat, blogs, digital photos, snarky comments, #whatmycatateforbreakfast. What does it all mean for special collections, those hallowed grounds of silence and scholarly seriousness? Whether you want to destroy special collections or build an audience for your resources and research, if you work with rare materials, you need to understand and plan for the use of social media.
