
Andrea Immel
Andrea Immel is Curator of the Cotsen Children’s Library, a historical, international collection of illustrated books, prints, manuscripts, original artwork, and educational toys, which was the benefaction of the late Lloyd E. Cotsen ’53 and Charter Trustee Emeritus of Princeton University. She has organized international conferences on aspects of the history of children’s books, whose proceedings were published as special issues of journals or multi-authored monographs, which she co-edited. In addition to curating exhibitions in Bookscape, Cotsen’s public gallery, she has compiled pamphlets featuring collection materials for free distribution to visitors. On the Cotsen Curatorial Blog, she has commented on topics ranging from marks in books, arithmetical copybooks, versions of Spring Heeled Jack, and the aborted effort to posthumously edit Roald Dahl.
