Ian Gadd
Ian Gadd is a professor in English literature at Bath Spa University, where he has two international-facing roles: Academic Director of the Global Academy of Liberal Arts, a network of universities and colleges across the world, and Head of Development of European Projects, which manages EU-funded projects for the university. He served as President of the Society for the History of Authorship, Reading, and Publishing (SHARP) from 2013 to 2017. He was editor of the first volume of the History of Oxford University Press (2013), and is currently a General Editor of the Cambridge Edition of the Works of Jonathan Swift and Chair of the Board of the Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institution. His doctoral work focused on the Stationers’ Company, and he has taught courses on the Company at both Rare Book School and the Folger Shakespeare Library, and published several articles on the Company and its activities. He is also a freeman of the Stationers’ Company.
